Director’s Statement and Bio
As a gay man approaching 60, I am grateful that I not only survived AIDS, but witnessed all of the LGBTQ+ gains me made in recent decades. There is so much that can be lost with the current political climate in Florida and around the USA. As someone who has chronicled queer history over the years, I feel compelled to document this pivotal year through the lens of a vibrant Gayborhood and the extraordinary people that call The Drive home. This footage, as well as my archive, ultimately will be donated to the Stonewall National Archives.
