Director’s Statement and Bio<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

As a gay man approaching 60, I am grateful that I not only survived AIDS, but witnessed all of the LGBTQ+ gains me made in recent decades. There is so much that can be lost with the current political climate in Florida and around the USA. As someone who has chronicled queer history over the years, I feel compelled to document this pivotal year through the lens of a vibrant Gayborhood and the extraordinary people that call The Drive home. This footage, as well as my archive, ultimately will be donated to the Stonewall National Archives. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Director Dan Hunt brings over 30 years of filmmaking experience with award winning works focusing on topics like gender, sexuality, aging and prison reform. His past documentaries have broadcast on PBS, ABC, Logo, Netflix and HuLu and screened at hundreds of festivals including SxSW, Woodstock, DocNYC, Frameline and Rio International. Hunt Was Executive Producer of the PBS series IN THE LIFE and tenured faculty at Marymount Manhattan College. He is a programmer at Tribeca Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Editor Joy E. Reed brings over a decade of experience as an associate editor (HOW TO DANCE \u00a0IN OHIO, ERNIE & JOE News & Documentary Emmy\u00ae for Outstanding Editing 2020), \u00a0editor (LITTLE MISS WESTIE) and animator (32 PILLS: MY SISTER\u2019S SUICIDE), and is a Karen Schmeer Editing Fellow. They have been on the editing team of a number of Audience Award \u00a0winners at Sundance, including BUCK (2011) and THIS IS HOME (2018). Joy\u2019s Work has been broadcast on PBS, HBO, and played at festivals worldwide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tino Lieberherr, Videographer and Drone Operator.
In addition to his film work, Tino is a Swiss-born artist who works in acrylic and mixed media on canvas. Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, he merges functionality with aesthetics, creating pieces that are visually striking and thought-provoking. His work combines contemporary abstract and retro modern styles, influenced by music, energy, and motion.
